HYMR releases single on 27th August
South African electronic music producer HYMR is back with a new single and video, You Make Me Feel So Nice. This is his first new release since 2020’s well received debut full-length album Artificial Intelligence.
Creating music using a variety of synthesizers, he explores various genres including synth pop, new-age and electronica. He is interest in music was sparked at young age by his mother with inspiration coming from artists such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Desireless and Vangelis which caught his attention at the time.
“The making of 'You Make Me Feel So Nice' was an awesome experience for me. This wouldn't have been possible without the help of some real talented artists from literally all over the world, from Chile, Argentina, South Africa, London, and Bulgaria. Guitarist and vocalist Lukky Sparxx is from Chile and the drummer from Argentina. I also worked with engineer Max Honsinger from London who professionally mixed and mastered the song.” Comments HYMR on the worldwide creative process which made the track and video possible.
“I contacted Film Director and Editor, Dimitar Drew who is from Bulgaria to assist with the music video. I really wanted a video that tells a story, filled with happy emotions and with a bit of an 80’s vibe. I also wanted the video to be shot in summer, which made the location ideal. The music video was shot in Bulgaria and Greece. I would have loved to have myself and Lukky Sparxx in the music video, but this would have been a challenge because we live in different parts of the world.” He explains.
